On August 20, 2024, the Board of Education voted to go to referendum on November 5, 2024 to address district facility needs.
Please consider attending a Community-wide Referendum Information Night to learn more about the current state of the district and the next steps in the process, as well as inquire about opportunities to tour our schools. By gathering a group of thoughtful citizens at these Information Sessions, HJT1 staff will share the findings from the previous months of comprehensive planning efforts to identify the district's most immediate facility needs.
The remaining sessions will be held at District Office at 403 W. Sumner St., Hartford, WI 53027, beginning at 6:00 PM. Each session is planned for 60 minutes.
District representatives will also be present at Harvest Fest in the downtown Hartford area on Saturday, October 12th between the hours of 10am - 4pm to provide information to residents
Content will be the same for all sessions, so community members are encouraged to pick the date that works best in their schedules.
If you missed any of the summer in-person presentations, the information is available HERE. Topics discussed in the Community-wide Referendum Information Night include:
- The existing state of our school buildings and how classroom space is utilized
- A proposed plan that addresses the most immediate needs
- The estimated cost of that plan and direct impact to taxes
- How information may be shared in the community throughout the process
Please contact Dr. Tara Villalobos, District Administrator, at 262-673-3155 or referendum[at]hjt1[dot]org with any questions.
