Gaggle ReachOut

At the Hartford Jt. 1 School District, we are deeply committed to supporting the academic, mental, and physical well-being of our students. As part of this commitment, we are excited to announce the addition of a new resource called Gaggle ReachOut. This service provides students and families with an easy way to connect with trained mental health professionals who specialize in adolescent care—available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

What is Gaggle ReachOut?
Gaggle ReachOut is a safe, supportive space where students can:

  • Chat or message with a counselor if they are feeling stressed, anxious, or just need someone to talk to.
  • Receive support for mental health concerns, such as depression, anxiety, or peer-related issues.
  • Access resources to help manage stress, build coping skills, and maintain emotional well-being.

How Can Families Get Involved?
Families can also use this service to discuss any concerns they may have regarding their students’ mental health and well-being.

Ways to Connect:
To make this resource easily accessible, students and families have three options to reach out for support:

  • Voice or Text: Call or text 262-988-2113 for immediate support.
  • Webchat: Visit the Hartford Jt. 1 District website, where a link to the service can be found in the lower right-hand corner of any district page. It is also found within the students’ clever account and at the top HJT1 bookmark tab of their chromebook. Clicking this link will take you to the district website where you can see the Gaggle ReachOut icon. Visit the district website here

Key Features of Gaggle ReachOut:

  • Family and Teacher Access: Families and teachers can also access the service to discuss concerns about students.
  • School Counselor Coordination: If follow-up with a student is needed, Gaggle ReachOut will contact the school counselor to arrange in-person support.
  • Unlimited Use: There is no limit to how often students, family members, or teachers can use the service throughout the year.
  • Anonymous Start: Users can begin the conversation anonymously, with the option to share their name later for follow-up.
  • Recommended for Grades 4–8: This service is recommended for students in grades four through eight, who may face unique emotional and mental health challenges.
  • Safety Features: If a user shares something that may significantly impact their safety, Gaggle ReachOut will notify the Hartford Police Department and a district contact to ensure timely intervention.

This new program, Gaggle ReachOut, will complement our existing in-school mental health supports, helping to ensure the safety and well-being of all our students.

We are grateful for the opportunity to offer this additional resource and look forward to continuing our partnership with families to support our students in every way possible. Our school counselors will be sharing more information about Gaggle ReachOut with students this week. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to your student’s school counselor.
