The School District of Hartford Joint #1 is dedicated to the success of each student through the active participation of students, staff, family and community. The School District of Hartford Jt. 1 is a 4K-8th grade district located northwest of Milwaukee in scenic Washington County. The District is dedicated to making decisions that are student centered and ensuring school safety is a priority while being fiscally responsible to our students, family, staff and community. The City of Hartford is a growing community of 14,000 that maintains a small town feel but offers larger city amenities. The District is governed by a five-person Board and educates 2,019 students amongst the 4K sites, two elementary schools and one middle school. We offer educational options such as mathematics, language arts, social studies, science, art, general and vocal music, physical education, band, orchestra, technology education, Project Lead the Way, world languages, STEM, virtual education and more. Students are encouraged to participate in leadership opportunities such as student council, various clubs at the middle school level and various gifted and talented programs.
