Q: How many years have you worked in education/schools?
A: This will be my 12th year.

Q: What drew you to working in schools and/or HJT1, specifically?
A: I live in Hartford and my children will be attending Hartford Schools. I wanted to be part of school community that supports students, families and teachers.

Q: Share some your favorites - snack, hobby, activity, book, travel destination.
A: My favorite snack is popcorn with a lot of butter. I love reading, going to the beach, and baking. My favorite book series is the Arthur and Clifford Series. My favorite place I have ever visited was Yellowstone National Park.

Q: If you could teach any class for a day, what would it be? Or what was your favorite subject in school?
A: My favorite subjects growing up were Social Studies and Reading.

Q: What is a fun fact about yourself?
A: I grew up on a farm and showed cattle in 4-H.

Q: How many years have you worked in education/schools?
A: I have worked in education for 11 years in several districts and states and in a variety of roles. Each experience has helped shaped the educator I am today.

Q: What drew you to working in schools and/or HJT1, specifically?
A: I love being able to build relationships with students and help them recognize their strengths, grow their confidence, and celebrate their progress. I was drawn to HJT1 because of its strong sense of community and the focus on supporting students as individuals.

Q: Share some your favorites - snack, hobby, activity, book, travel destination.
A: One of my favorite treats is caramel apples. I love fishing, hunting, gardening, reading, and working on projects. I'm also a big audiobook fan-especially when I'm driving. I've been fortunate to travel quite a bit, so instead of having one favorite destination, I love exploring new places and experiencing somewhere I haven't been before.

Q: If you could teach any class for a day, what would it be? Or what was your favorite subject in school?
A: I would love to teach a hands-on life skills class for a day-something where students could learn practical skills, create something, and have fun while doing it.
